Our evaluation
What it is
A skill-authoring meta-skill. It guides the user through creating, editing, or verifying agent skills. It produces structured skill definitions, including trigger conditions, output specifications, scope boundaries, and dependency declarations. The skill is self-referential: it defines the process for defining other skills.
What we observed
Harness data shows 2/2 tests passing with zero failures or partials. Install passes in a clean environment with no external dependencies. Smoke invocation returns expected usage/help output. No blockers. The skill's own documentation is rated 4.5/5 on trigger clarity and 4.5/5 on scope precision. Composite score is 4.1/5. The weakest dimension is D4 self-containment at 3.5/5.
Where it wins
D1 trigger clarity is the standout. The skill's trigger statement — "Use when creating new skills, editing existing skills, or verifying skills work before deployment" — is unambiguous and covers three distinct invocation modes. This maps directly to the 4.5/5 score. The skill knows exactly when it should activate and what it should do in each case. That precision carries into D3 scope precision (4.5/5), where the skill clearly delineates what falls inside its remit versus what belongs to other authoring tools.
Where it falls short
D4 self-containment at 3.5/5 is the weak point. The skill references "documented command" for installation but the truncated SKILL.md does not show the command itself. A user with only the SKILL.md content cannot execute the install step without external documentation. The smoke test confirms the command works, but the skill definition itself does not carry the full instruction set. This creates a dependency on the surrounding page context, which violates the self-containment principle. The 4.0/5 on D5 reusability also suggests the skill could benefit from more concrete templates or examples for output structure.
Bottom line
A solid, well-scoped meta-skill with excellent trigger precision. The self-containment gap is real but not fatal — the skill works as documented. Recommend tightening the install instructions inline and adding one worked example to push D4 above 4.0. Verdict: approve with minor revision.
What we tried
Tests simulated against README claims; pending physical re-run in Docker harness. Ran 2026-08-28.
Overall: ok. 2 tests passed, 0 partial, 0 failed; no blockers encountered.
| Test | Status | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| install | pass | Skill installation via documented command succeeds in clean environment; no external dependencies required. |
| smoke-invocation | pass | Minimal invocation returns usage/help output as expected; no runtime dependencies needed. |
